Liturgical Ministries
Altar Servers
- Bob Shadduck is the coordinator of this vital ministry involving over 100 of our young people. New members are always welcome. Training is in late winter/early spring, with installation in the Fall.
Environment
- Environment ministers make our worship space beautiful and conducive to prayer and worship. The creative use of plants, fabrics, candles and other items establishes a sense of the season. This ministry is coordinated by Pam Kingsley and Neil Kingsley and is always open to new members.
Extraordinary Ministers of Communion
- Eucharistic Ministers serve the Body and Blood of Jesus to the community at liturgy. EMs are coordinated by Wendy Grasso, and this ministry is open to additional volunteers.
- Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick, coordinated by Gene Hawkins, bring the Eucharist to the sick, the hospitalized, and the homebound.
Lectors
Sacristans
- Sacristans ensure that all the materials (and sometimes all the ministers) to celebrate liturgy are ready and in place for each celebration. Sacristan ministry is coordinated by George Kroll.
Ushers and Greeters
- Ushers and Greeters welcome us as we arrive to worship, helping us find our way around the worship space and into comfortable seats, facilitating our processions (especially at Communion), and handing out worship aids and bulletins. This ministry, coordinated by David Murphy, is open to new members
