Girl Scouts offers the best leadership development experience for girls in the world - one designed with, by, and for girls. The possibilities in Girl Scouts are unlimited...
In the greater Camarillo area, there are about 600 girls from Kindergarten to Grade 12 involved in over 50 troops. Each troop has its own meeting times and activities but also participates with other local troops in events (see Micasa Service Unit website at www.micasagirlscouts.com). We are part of the California Central Coast council stretching from Simi Valley through Santa Cruz (www.girlscoutsccc.org ), the national USA organization (www.girlscouts.org ), and the international World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouting (www.wagggs.org ).
This is a wonderful, low-cost parent/daughter activity (yes, dads are girl scouts too!) building memories and results that last a lifetime. Please call or text me; I would love to meet you and discuss the benefits of scouting further.

Eighty-seven high school teens and thirteen adults received the sacrament of Confirmation on May 27, 2018.
In Confirmation, the faith received at Baptism is strengthened. The Holy Spirit, that confirmed the apostles on Pentecost, will pour out her gifts on the candidates, completing their initiation and giving them strength and courage to live a Catholic Christian way of life.
Visit Confirmation to view the full photo gallery of this beautiful liturgy.
Interviews were in July and 1st week of September; if you missed it, email firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment.
Monday Sept. 18 or Tuesday Sept. 19 2017
Consider having an open, honest conversation with your teen about dating and appropriate relationships. Talk about what they want out of a relationship, and what their values are. Make sure they know how to communicate what they feel comfortable with, and what makes them uncomfortable. Talk with them about Catholic morals, and make sure they know you are always available.

We are so blessed to have 40 young people make the choice to go to a Catholic retreat called All for God, Steubenville San Diego on July 28 - 30 2017.
These young people age 17 to 27 are poised for a transformational experience that is authentically Catholic.
The cost is $200 per person for the three day event. If you would like to show your support of our young people please make a donation to Padre Serra Parish, write Youth Retreat in the memo line. We would love to pay a portion of the cost of this experience for this group.
Thank you sincerely, may God bless you for your caring heart.
