Very Strong Winds - expected tonight and into Thursday

Tonight, beginning at around 11:00, winds are expected to return to Camarillo. 

• Please note that this wind activity could be VERY STRONG, with sustained winds in the 20-30 mph range - and gusts that could exceed 60 mph.

• The duration of the winds will also be longer than last week – probably throughout Wednesday.  Winds should diminish Wednesday evening, but will pick up again early Thursday morning.

• Consequently, if a fire is ignited there is a high probability for it to spread rapidly.  Also, with winds this strong, embers could be blown as far away as three miles, potentially sparking more fires.

• All County emergency-related services are on standby for these winds.

 
At this time there are three Edison circuits in the Camarillo area that could be shut down on Wednesday:

• Donlon – beginning at 9 am (pg. 6 – attached)

• Estaban – also 9 am (pg. 7)

• Evita – time uncertain (pg. 8)
