In Person Visits

  • Via our Help Line, Home Visitors respond to calls for assistance. The Help Line is monitored Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, except on holidays.
  • Assistance is provided quietly and discreetly to the poor and distressed in Camarillo. We partner with adjacent SVdP conferences on special cases.
  • Help includes addressing the physical, spiritual, social, and emotional needs of ANYONE in need, regardless of race, religion, age, or ethnicity.
  • Visits are conducted on the parish premises &/or in agreed-upon public locations.
  • All visits are done by two Vincentians to determine and address immediate needs: food, shelter, clothing, medical care, etc.
  • We work closely with Project HOPE and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department to address homelessness.
  • Training and mentoring are provided for in-person visits.
