Have you ever wondered how to create your own sacred rule of life? The Church gives us some guidelines, but we are tasked with the personal discipline of constructing a life-giving way of living out the context of our faith or value system. This is exactly what each founder or foundress did with their religious order. This retreat experience will help you generate new life into your faith using the components of talks, small group discussions, journal work with guided questions, artistic expressions, and quiet reflections with different types of prayer forms. Fr. Jim's book will be available for you to read and use as a guideline in this interactive work.

About our retreat facilitator
Fr. Jim Clarke, PhD, was ordained to the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in May 1981. He has served in many capacities since then including  seminary professor, senior lecturer, workshop facilitator, and spiritual director. Fr Jim was the coordinator of spiritual formation for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, a senior lecturer of spiritual theology at Loyola Marymount University, and an instructor at the Mount St. Mary's Spiritual Direction Certificate Program. His rich academic background in theology, depth psychology, counseling, education and mythology has enhanced his ministry of retreats, workshops, and conferences throughout the United States for priests, women religious, seminarians, parish and school staffs as well as parishes at large.  Fr. Jim has authored five books and two CD/DVD series. Enjoying retirement, Fr. Jim continues his ministry as a retreat master and spiritual director at the Cardinal Manning House of Prayer for Priests. When not providing spiritual care and formation for others, Fr. Jim enjoys reading, landscaping, jogging, biking, hiking, camping, rafting, traveling, and backpacking and we are blessed to have him here today to share his wisdom.
