Spiritual direction is a unique one-on-one relationship, exploring the spiritual aspect of being human, with a trained, confidential companion.

Spiritual directors help their directees see the themes, threads, and designs emerging in their lives, identifying where God is at work in their sacred story. They are privileged witnesses in the spiritual unfolding of others, discerning the movement of the Spirit in their lives.
 
The focus is on the relationship between individuals and God, in the context of everyday life experiences.
 
Topics for spiritual direction include:
one’s faith - exploring new ideas, images of God, prayer and spiritual practices;
  • the experience of loss – of a relative or loved one, of material possessions, of a job, etc.;
  • change in life style – marriage, divorce, new career/job, parenting or relationship issues;
  • a growth in relationship with God – the discernment of God in life experience and the deepening of a prayer life with God.
 
Whatever you encounter, God is there, and spiritual directors can help you see this, while affirming what a wondrous person you already are – as you co-create with God your journey through life.
