Living Stations of the Cross is a moving portrayal of Jesus’ passion and death, bringing us into his pain and suffering and the emotional experience of those witnessing this journey to the cross.
We recommend bringing a camp chair, water, umbrella for shade.
Chorus Caritas is a collaborative choral project by conductors James Drollinger and Dominic MacAller featuring singers from St. Charles Borromeo Church and Padre Serra Parish.
Our mission is to create beautiful choral music and to support charities who do the work of disciples - caring for "the least of these."

Our Fridays in the Backyard were a success! Each week well over 60 adults and kids enjoyed the summer evening, eating, drinking, playing games, and each other's company.
Many thanks to the following companies who donated to our parish picnic vegetable centerpieces: Boskovich Farm (cilantro), Houweling’s Group (tomatoes), Oro Del Norte (avocados and lemons) and Smart and Final (jalapeños).
Thanks to these folks for helping: Our Confirmation candidates, volunteers, Knights of Columbus, and Establos.
These restaurants generously donated gift cards for chili contest prizes: Slate Bistro & Craft Bar, Adolfo Grill & Daily Bar, and Agave Maria Mexican Restaurant.

Eighty-seven high school teens and thirteen adults received the sacrament of Confirmation on May 27, 2018.
In Confirmation, the faith received at Baptism is strengthened. The Holy Spirit, that confirmed the apostles on Pentecost, will pour out her gifts on the candidates, completing their initiation and giving them strength and courage to live a Catholic Christian way of life.

Discipleship: Becoming Fools for Christ
This year's parish mission is an invitation to explore the radical foolishness of Christianity as a positive force for change and conversion in the face of division, discrimination, and violence in our world. Looking at the Scripture with new eyes, journeying with wisdom figures like St. Francis of Assisi and Pope Francis, we will reflect on ways to overcome our tendency to 'water down' or domesticate our faith and the message of the Gospel, so that we can respond to Christ's call to be foolish according to the logic of the world and become wise in the eyes of God.

We take our cars in for periodic oil changes. We see our physicians for an annual physical or wellness check. The same is needed for our spiritual lives, individually and as a faith community, and we can't always get away for a retreat. So a parish mission is that "shot in the arm", that energizing renewal of our personal faith as Jesus' disciples and our parish community's commitment to the Body of Christ.
